Color theory helps you control attention and emotion. You don’t need to memorize everything—start with a few simple patterns.
Three color approaches
- Monochrome: one color family (clean and modern)
- Complementary: opposite colors (high contrast and punch)
- Analogous: neighboring colors (smooth and calm)
Quick workflow
Pick your dominant color first, then remove competing colors in the background. In editing, shift hues slightly to keep the palette consistent.
